Part 3: Figuring out the Story

This is the part where I discover you cannot have two player-made families coexist in one town/save file on the Xbox 360 version of The Sims 3, so I decide on a structure to The Quiet Household Epic: This blog will primarily revolve around the eponymous Quiet household with the occasional Angelo Intermission!

In fact, this time we begin with one of those.

Part 2: Meet the Angelo Household

Around here, I decided to get creative and start a second household. This one would consist of Daniel Finnegan (another friend and Rapture character who wanted to be put in as a Sim), Rappu Matkaopas (the Tour Guide from Rapture, mysterious lady whose identity is a secret BUT SHE'S RAPPU SO THERE YOU GO), Sally Camper (Salmacis is an eldritch hive-minded water monster; Sally is a woman who just wears blue a lot), and Archie Angelo (The Archangel is the embodiment of the afterlife itself, a modern grim reaper; Archie's a guy in a pimp hat). I'll probably make more characters later but we're already at seven so I'm pacing myself somewhat.

Again, I liveblogged this onto Bones's Facebook page.

Part 1: Meet the Quiet Household

Hello, internet. My name is DJay32, and I occasionally play video games. One in particular, I find addictive as hell: The Sims 3. I don't play it too often, as I know once I start I won't stop for quite some time, but I think I've got a good story going on here.

First of all, in order to better understand the humour of the characters I create, it's best you be well-versed in the Fear Mythos. You don't have to know all too much; there are eldritch abominations, and I like to portray them in mundane situations. The Sims is perfect for that. I also pull characters from other stories I've written, most notably OH GOD THE RAPTURE IS BURNING.

One day, I felt like making a household of three characters I thought would be amusing to mentally picture: Jordan Dooling (Author Avatar and also narrator of the Rapture logs), Bones Malone (one of my best friends and portrayed as a strange drifter in the logs, name a reference to The Blues Brothers), and Theodore Quiet (The Quiet is literally an expansive and terrifying nothingness, whereas Theodore is a middle-aged man in a Hawaiian shirt). I guess they decided, now that the world was probably saved, they should move into a house together. I set the time scale to "epic" so it would last a long time, and I am playing on the Xbox 360 version.

Now, I didn't actually intend for this to become anything interesting. However, just to be on the safe side, I liveblogged the events on real-life Bones's Facebook wall.

The results are as follows.
